The new BMW X3 xDrive28i and the new BMW X5 xDrive35i have launched in India. With this launch, the trend setters with BMW X factor are now available in petrol variants offering dynamic ability, unbeatable efficiency and exquisite comfort both on and off road.
The new BMW X3 xDrive28i and the new BMW X5 xDrive35i will be locally produced at BMW Plant Chennai. These are now available across the country in both petrol as well as diesel variants.

The new BMW X3 xDrive28i has been introduced in an exclusive ‘xLine’ design scheme that bestows practicality and modern styling. The new BMW X5 xDrive35i available in ‘Design Pure Experience’ package underlines the impressive appearance and commanding road presence.
The innovative petrol engines from the BMW Efficient Dynamics family offer considerably more spirited power delivery as well as spontaneous responsiveness even at low engine speeds, thanks to BMW Twin Power Turbo Technology. The two-litre four cylinder petrol engine of the new BMW X3 xDrive28i produces an output of 180 kW/245 hp and a maximum torque of 350 Nm at 1,250-4,800 rpm. The car accelerates from 0-100 km/hr in just 6.5 seconds. The three-litre inline six cylinder petrol engine of the new BMW X5 xDrive35i produces an output of 225 kW/306 hp and a maximum torque of 400 Nm at 1,200-5,000 rpm. The car accelerates from 0-100 km/hr in just 6.5 second.
For even greater driving pleasure, the eight-speed Steptronic transmission is available with Automatic Hold Function in the new BMW X3 xDrive28i. The new eight-speed Sport Steptronic automatic transmission in the BMW X5 xDrive35i performs smooth, almost imperceptible gear shifts. At any time, in any gear, the transmission collaborates perfectly with the engine, enabling it to develop its full power and efficiency.
