For the first time, Coimbatore, referred to as the motor sport capital of the country, witnessed a big-time Auto Expo ‘Automatech 2012’ at the Codissia Trade Fair Complex during 27-30 December 2012. The four-day expo was organised by Pinnacle Promotions and supported by major trade bodies like AASI, SAE India, Coimbatore Automobile Dealers Association, Coimbatore Autoparts & Spares Dealers Association and Coimbatore Motors Sports Club.
Automatech 2012 showcased over 50 world-class automotive brands, designs and technology to over 50,000 affluent visitors, 10,000 business visitors and the media. The event also had accessory suppliers, automobile component manufacturers and gadget companies. These with automotive navigation gadgets, tyre protection, and easy car wash tools, car customisation service provider, financiers and automobile association’s make the exhibition a one stop shop for automobile enthusiasts. A vintage car gallery, bike stunt show, and cultural events were additional attractions at the event. The Yamaha Kidz pavilion had small bikes that children tried riding.
