Bajaj V12 to be the next model under the V brand

The Bajaj V15 launched in February 2016. The bike is positioned as a premium commuter in the Indian two-wheeler market while the biggest selling point is that some part of its metal is sourced from the legendary INS Vikrant warship, India’s first aircraft carrier that played a significant role in India-Pakistan wars. Last month, Rajiv Bajaj revealed the company’s four-point strategy to fire on all four cylinders wherein one new bike will be launched under the V brand. Reports out of the Pune-based bike maker suggest that the company will launch the new Bajaj V12 in the coming months. The new Bajaj V12 will be positioned below the V15 while the bike will source power from a 125cc engine that powers the Discover 125 as well. Banking on the success of the V15 in the premium 150 cc commuter segment, the company envisages similar opportunity in the 125cc segment and hence the need for a new product.The new Bajaj V12 is expected to sport the same design language with a cafe racer like silhouette and commuter friendly riding posture.
