Germany-based component manufacturer Bosch has inaugurated its new plant at
Oragadam in Chennai. Built with an investment of Rs 35 crore, the plant encompasses design, development and testing along with scalable production of actuator systems, thermal systems and wiper systems.
Speaking after inaugurating the plant, Mr Manfred Baden, Executive Vice President-Sales, Bosch Electrical Drives, said, “The new Chennai plant has expanded our presence beyond our existing automotive component manufacturing sites in Bangalore, Nashik, Chakan, and Jaipur. From this facility, we will support all Indian automotive customers with our innovative products from electrical drives.”
Bosch Electrical Drives India designs, develops and manufactures window glass lift drives, engine cooling modules, blower modules, wiper linkages, arms and blades for various international and local car makers in India like Hyundai, Ford, GM, Mahindra, Renault, Nissan and Volkswagen.
