Chennai Port to strengthen infra for car exports

Chennai Port will strengthen its infrastructure to handle cars for coastal movement and exports, according to Cyril C George, Chairman, Chennai Port Trust. He added that Hyundai Motors has charted out expansion plans which will further strengthen the relationship with the Chennai Port as a channel for its growing exports. Hyundai and the Chennai Port Trust have a long-term agreement that provides for the annual refund of a portion of wharfage charges.
