The US car maker’s Indian arm – General Motors India has
launched its new multi-purpose vehicle Enjoy in India with prices starting from
Rs 5.49 lakh (ex-showroom New Delhi). With the help of Enjoy, GM is looking to cater to the
demands of big families with a bigger appetite for long drives and expected to
add sales volume for the company.

The Enjoy is sourced from its partners in China – SAIC and
fine-tuned for Indian roads at its local research and development centre in
Bangalore. It is an updated version of Chinese manufacturer Wuling’s CN-100 and
has been positioned against the Maruti Ertiga and Nissan Evalia.
Enjoy comes with a four-cylinder 1.3-litre diesel motor and
a four-cylinder 1.4 litre petrol motor developing 77.5PS and 104PS of power
respectively. Both engines are mated to a five-speed manual gearbox. Chevy
Enjoy prices start at Rs 5.49 lakh for the petrol model and Rs 6.69 lakh for
the diesel. Entry level variant Enjoy LS will be available with both seven and
eight seater options for both diesel and petrol.
