The international technology company Continental is expanding the presence of its Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) unit in Asia through various initiatives. These include strengthening development capacities in Japan and India and increasing the production capacity for radar sensors in the Philippines and China. Also, the company has appointed Neil Tang as Head of ADAS business unit in China, in order to strengthen the business.
“Advanced Driver Assistance Systems is our strongest growth area. This year we will achieve sales of well over one billion Euro, thanks to our surrounding sensors. In 2020, we expect to exceed two billion in sales, which equates to a further doubling in just five years,” said Karl Haupt, Head of ADAS business unit.
