Eicher Polaris is a JV between Eicher Motors and Polaris Industries and they have launched their first offering, a utility vehicle named Multix. It is available in two variants and four colour options. Prices start at Rs 2.32 lakh for the base AX+ variant and go up to Rs 2.72 lakh
(ex-showroom, Jaipur) for the
top-end MX model.
The vehicle can seat five people and carry 480 litres of luggage, which can be extended to 1,918 litres. A standout feature of the Multix is a power-take-off port, which the company calls ‘X-Port’. This port is capable of dispensing 3 KW of power, which can be used to power water pumps, homes, refrigerators and even power equipments. Engine powering this four-wheeler is a small 511 cc diesel engine mated to an indigenously developed four-speed manual transmission and is claimed to give 28.45 kmpl.
