Fiat has announced the launch of its facelifted Linea mid-size sedan in India. With prices starting at Rs 6.99 lakh ex-showroom Delhi, the new car gets a redesigned front and rear apart from an all-new interior. Displayed at the Auto Expo 204, the new Linea also gets ORVM with turn indicators and a host of features like three-point ELR seat belts with pre-tensioners and load limiters, a fire prevention system, rain sensing wipers and automatic headlights, parking sensors, follow-me headlamps, ‘Blue and Me’ infotainment system and mood lighting. If the new car misses out on, is the inclusion of higher capacity engines. On offer therefore are 112bhp, 1.4-litre TJet (turbo) petrol and 90bhp, 1.3-litre MultiJet turbo-diesel engines that were found on the earlier car. The highlight of the new Linea is an interior that has improved in leaps and bounds in quality as well as the levels of fit and finish. The price, in comparison, marks a small increment over the price of the model before. The costliest among the three trim levels the car could be had with, is the Emotion diesel. It costs Rs 9.72 lakh ex-showroom Delhi.
