A JV is on the cards with the Korean manufacturer keen to invest in a facility in India. The planned investment could be to the tune of US$ 10m towards a facility on the outskirts of Bangalore. In what could be the biggest investment in the electric two-wheeler space, the local manufacture of batteries and other components will put the local content at 80 per cent. Bangalore is home to the Mahindra Reva electric cars.
