GoGreen BOV has introduced its new line of electric bikes in the city. The new line of e-bikes consist of Kohra, an e-bike with a range of 60kms and priced at Rs38,000; Kimaya, an e-bike made specifically for women (with weight carriage capacity of 160kgs) with a range of 60kms and priced at Rs 47,000; Kavach, an e-bike with a range of 120km and priced at Rs 53,000, and Sunnoti, an e-bike for the delivery segment, with a capability to do 60kms and 100kms respectively. Available in two versions, as the travel range would suggest, the Sunnoti is priced at Rs 44,000 and Rs 59,500 respectively. GoGreen BOV has tied up with a Korean manufacturer for sourcing batteries. A JV is on the cards with the Korean manufacturer keen to invest in a facility in India. The planned investment could be to the tune of US$ 10m towards a facility on the outskirts of Bangalore. In what could be the biggest investment in the electric two-wheeler space, the local manufacture of batteries and other components will put the local content at 80 per cent. Bangalore is home to the Mahindra Reva electric cars.
