Hero MotoCorp has developed three new engines. A 110cc engine that will find use on the company’s existing commuter bikes in India. A 250cc engine that is expected to power some of its premium range of bikes. This engine is said to have been developed in association with Erik Buell of USA. The thidr engine is a 100cc engine developed for some of the export markets of the company. All three engines are claimed to more efficient and powerful than the engines with similar displacement found on the current range of bikes the company offers. The development of three engines marks a significant step forward for Hero MotoCorp after the collaboration between the Hero Group and Honda Motor Company of Japan came to an end. Post the end of collaboration, Hero has partnered with companies in order to build an ecosystem of technological know-how. The company has partnered with Engines Engineering of Italy, AVL Engineering of Austria and Erik Buell of America – a company in which Hero bought a 49% stake.
