American automaker Fiat Chrysler Automobiles’ (FCA) brand Jeep has officially come to India with the launch of its SUVs the Grand Cherokee and the Wrangler in the country. The company has launched Grand Cherokee SRT at a price of Rs 11,207,825; Grand Cherokee Summit at Rs 10,339,919; Grand Cherokee Limited at Rs 9,364,527; and Wrangler Unlimited at Rs 7,159,104 (all prices ex showroom New Delhi).
The company first announced in 2016 Delhi Auto Expo, that in the second half of this year the Jeep brand will be launched in India. As of now the vehicles will be available as Completely Built Unit (CBU). By next year, the company’s Ranjangaon plant will manufacture Made in India vehicles, and for this FCA is investing $280 million (around Rs 1,878 crore) in the facility.
