Kia Motors hosts supplier meet in Delhi

Korean car maker is investing $ 2 billion in India and is building a manufacturing facility with production capacity of 300,000 vehicles per year in Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh

New Delhi; June 6, 2018

South Korea’s Kia Motors, Kia Motors, which is setting up a manufacturing up in Anantapur District of Andhra Pradesh, recently held its supplier meet in Delhi where more than 200 tier 1 and tier 2 companies and suppliers from various cities of India were present.

Kia Motors, a part of Hyundai Motor Company, is entering into Indian market with an investment of $ 2 billion and is building a manufacturing facility with production capacity of 300,000 vehicles per year in Anantapur.

Crescendo Worldwide, an international trade & FDI generating organisation, had organised the Kia Motors supplier meet to help the car maker to find ways for cost efficient manufacturing in India. The event was addressed by Lee Sanghwa, Chief Procurement Officer of Kia Motors India, Vishal Jadhav, President, and Nidhi Shree, Head – Strategic Global Business Expansion, Crescendo Worldwide.

In this event 25 Korean tier 1 suppliers of Kia Motors also participated. Indian companies also got an opportunity to see latest models of Kia Motors – to know more about parts, components and assemblies.
