Lapp India gets ISO 14001: 2004 Certification

Lapp India, a 100 per cent subsidiary of the Lapp Group, Germany and a leading supplier of integrated solutions and branded products in the field of cable and connection technology in India, has received ISO 14001:2004 certification from TUV Rheinland. ISO 14001: 2004 certification is an internationally recognised standard for environmental management of businesses. The certification helps organisations minimise their impact on the environment, comply with applicable laws and regulations and work towards continual environmental improvement.

The certification has been awarded to Lapp India for successfully implementing and incorporating international standards of Environment Management System (EMS) initiative as its corporate way of life. As a responsible corporate citizen, Lapp India provides assurance to employees, company management and other stakeholders that the environmental activities are being measured and improved. Going forward, the company will invest in further measures in providing a healthy social and occupational environment for its employees, customers, vendors and the society at large.

“This Certification is a milestone achievement for Lapp India and reflects company’s long-term commitment in achieving our environmental responsibilities. Conformance to international standards will instill confidence in our customers, of our products’ safety, reliability and quality. Attaining standards such as ISO 14001 will enable us to formalise energy management within our own operations,”said Marc Jarrault, Managing Director, LAPP India.
