Mahindra Electric exploring marketing presence in Netherlands

Mahindra Electric that manufactures electric cars is exploring a sales and marketing presence in the Netherlands to sell its city cars in Amsterdam, Rotterdam, The Hague and elsewhere in Europe.
This follows UK’s exit from the European Union (EU) that has restricted operation of its London office to sales in the UK. The company had forayed into England with an eye on exports to the EU in April, barely two months before the UK voted to withdraw from EU.

“We are actively exploring a presence in Amsterdam to reach out to markets in the EU where electric vehicles have gained popularity,” Mahindra Electric CEO designate Mahesh Babu told. Mahindra Electric is also planning exports to South Asian markets like Nepal and Sri Lanka.
While Bhutan would welcome pollution-free cars, operating electric cars in hilly terrains is still a challenge.
