Maruti Suzuki has launched the new WagonR Stingray with prices starting at Rs 4.10 lakh ex-showroom Delhi. While the name Stingray brings forth the image of Chevrolet supercar, Corvette, WagonR will be sold at a slight premium over the standard car. Sharing the same, 998cc K10B engine that produces 68PS of power, that powers the standard car, Stringray flaunts healthy visual update in the form of a new front. A front that includes a flat bonnet, sleeker projector headlamps, a chrome grille, and a redesigned bumper with a large central air dam. The rear features slimmer clear lens tail lamps, a large chrome strip over the number plate and a small spoiler. Offered in five exterior colours, Midnight blue (new), Passion red, glistening grey, Superior white and Silky silver, the interiors of the car are all-black with a piano finish as opposed to the two-tone interiors on the standard car. The instrument cluster has a blue back-light, again different from the standard car. The Wagon R Stingray is available in three trim levels – LXI (Rs 4.19 lakhs), VXI (Rs 4.38 lakhs) and VXI (O) (Rs 4.67 lakhs). The top end variant comes with ABS and a driver airbag, apart from the leather wrapped steering wheel which houses the audio controls.
