MyTVS, India’s largest chain of multi-brand
car service network, has announced a Joint Venture (JV) with Focuz Motors for further
expanding its car service operations in the state of Kerala. Through this
tie-up, MyTVS acquires a stake in the existing outlet operations of Focuz
Motors and almost doubles its service outlets in Kerala from 10 to 19. Currently,
Focuz Motors has nine car service centres in the State.

The 19 outlets will have a combined
workforce of about 550 people and the JV would further look to expand its
operations. This is the third Joint Venture by MyTVS after its foray into West
Bengal and Gujarat (with different JV partners) in an effort to aggressively
reach out to car customers across India.
Announcing the Joint Venture R Dinesh, Joint
Managing Director, TVS & Sons Ltd., said, “This is an important tie-up for
us which would not only help to expand our presence in the State of Kerala but
also help to share various synergies between the two companies that can add value
to both the partners. With this tie-up, MyTVS will become the largest
independent multi-brand car service player in India in FY 2014.”
Commenting on the tie-up, Sanjay Nigam, President
& Chief Executive Officer, MyTVS, said, “It is our endeavor to aggressively
expand our multi-brand as well as authorized car service network through our
own outlets and through Joint Ventures. This JV is yet another move towards
meeting our goal. With our 24×7 emergency roadside assistance service being already
present all across India, we now look to have a pan India presence for our
multi-brand car service network as well.”
