NBC collaborates with ConMet to introduce PreSet??Hub Assemblies

NBC Bearings, a manufacturer of bearings and a part of National Engineering Industries (a CK Birla Group Company), has announced that it will collaborate with ConMet, a US-based vehicle component manufacturer, to introduce PreSet??hub assemblies in India. These assemblies will be manufactured at National Engineering Industries’ (NEI) manufacturing facility at Jaipur. PreSet??hubs are fully assembled units, which contain bearing and seals such that they are set and calibrated prior to installation. In conventional hubs, individual hub components are assembled manually, which may lead to incorrect calibration. This can damage hubs, bearings and seals, greatly affecting the wheel hub life and safety. PreSet??hub assemblies use pre-adjusted bearing technology which helps in setting bearings in a controlled manner, using precision spacers, making the assembly process quick and accurate. This tried and tested technology results in lower maintenance costs and improved vehicle performance.
