New auto emission norms come as tailwind for Bosch India

The mounting pressure on vehicle manufacturers to produce vehicles with better fuel efficiency and safety features is turning out to be a blessing in disguise for auto ancillary companies with a strong R&D lineage. Bosch India, a subsidiary of German company Robert Bosch, is well placed to benefit from the emerging opportunities given its portfolio of emission-reducing products and support from its strong parent, which is known globally for advanced auto technology. Bosch India derives nearly 70 per cent of its total revenue by catering to the diesel vehicle segment, which is facing regulatory challenges amid a crackdown on air pollution. Bosch’s technological advantage in delivering efficient engines will help it maintain an edge over rivals.
