MG Motor India, the fully owned subsidiary of China’s largest auto firm SAIC Motor Corporation has amplified its India operation. According to sources, the carmaker has bought the General Motors’s Gujarat plant for $60 million and roped in two key executives to join the company. Pallavi Singh will be joining M G Motor India in the first week of August as marketing head. She had recently resigned as Director Marketing from the Indian arm of the American premium two-wheeler company Harley-Davidson India. She will be bidding adieu to this cult motorcycle brand after an almost eight-year-long hiatus. Prior to this she had worked with Japanese two-wheeler maker Yamaha in India for close to three-years.
