Tata Motors in association with Petronas Lubricants International launched the Tata Motors Genuine Oil (TMGO) for its passenger vehicles range in the India market. TMGO will be the first range of co-branded lubricants jointly developed by the companies. The co-branded range of lubricants – Tata Motors Genuine Oil CH-4 15W-40 for diesel vehicles and Tata Motors Genuine Gear Oil 80EP for passenger cars – makes part of a bigger range of nine co-branded products that will be rolled out in a phased approach.
Dinesh Bhasin, Head, Customer Support, Passenger Vehicle Business Unit, Tata Motors Ltd, said, “Customers are looking forward for easy solutions and one identified source to get genuine oil. Hence, to create a customer-centric and easily identifiable brand, we have now launched the TMGO brand in association with Petronas.” MP Singh, Chief Executive Officer, Petronas Lubricants (India) Pvt Ltd (PLIPL), said, “PLIPL has recorded steady volume growth at 40 per cent CAGR and is aiming to capture 5 per cent total market share by 2019.”
