Owing to the impact of demonetisation, two wheeler sales suffered for the month of December 2016 with deliveries decreasing to 910,235 units, thereby registering de-growth of 22.04 per cent. This impact gets reflected in the top 10 selling two wheelers list also, where seven models witnessed negative growth. So much so that even country’s best selling two wheeler – Honda Activa’s sales went down, for second consecutive month, by 20 percent and stood at 138,480 units, according to data released by SIAM. What’s more, Royal Enfield’s best selling motorcycle Classic 350 entered the list for the first time since its launch in India in 2009.
