Skoda Auto announced the appointment of Klaus-Dieter Schurmann on the Skoda Auto’s Board of Management, with the responsibility for commercial affairs. His appointment will be with effect from August 1, 2016. Schurmann succeeds Winfried Krause, who is moving to the Board of Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles brand where he will be responsible for finance and IT.
Schurmann has worked for Volkswagen Group since 1990. In 1995, he became President and CEO of Volkswagen credit and a member of Volkswagen of America’s management team. Schurmann was the Chief Representative at Volkswagen Financial Services AG from 2000 to 2002 and was a Board Member from January 2003.
