Progress calls for innovation. And that being a thumb rule, the growth of the automotive sector in India is one of the reasons why STAHL CraneSystems India, a sales partner subsidiary of STAHL CraneSystems GmbH, Germany, has launched its latest, new generation SC Series chain hoists. “The SC Series boasts one of the most up-to-date designs available. The main characteristics include a) wide range of hoisting speeds, b) reliable clutch, not in the power flux during braking, c) compact constriction, ideal for customised solutions, d) lifetime lubrication with synthetic blend oil, e) pre-equipped for using sensors, f) control fully plugged in, pre-equipped for operational data recording in industrial use and g) patented chain sprocket that reduces wear on the chain,” informed Thomas Kraus, Support Centre Director, STAHL CraneSystems at a presentation organised in Pune by its sales partner Sparkline Equipments (P) Ltd.
STAHL CraneSystems has been around for over 130 years, since inception, in Germany, and has sales partner subsidiaries across the globe. It offers a comprehensive programme of material handling components and products. “Optimally combined and customised for individual applications, they form the basis for productive system solutions, ranking among the top international material handling products,” Kraus said. In the automotive sector, its clients include Audi, BMW, Ford, MAN, John Deere and Merecedes Benz, among others. “India is the midst of an automotive boom and we are therefore confident of our SC series picking up good sales,” Kraus said. This series follows its earlier T and ST chain hoist series and will initially be available in three models in capacity up to 2,500 kg.
Elaborating about the product, Kraus said, “Strict safety regulations apply to hoists and crane installations in particular. Our company has, over so many decades, been involved in shaping many of them: thus STAHL CraneSystems quality has become a yardstick for a whole field of chain hoists and wire rope hoists. Even today, what is important to STAHL CraneSystems is not only complying with regulations, but setting new standards, including in its company-wide systematic quality assurance system.” The company is now keen on introducing its explosion-protected crane technology that is used in many branches of industry, in particular, chemical and petrochemical industries, mining, power generation, food and pharmaceuticals.
