The recall rate is double that of 2019. While Hyundai Motor India, Mahindra & Mahindra and Toyota Kirloskar Motor saw several recalls, Maruti Suzuki India and Tata Motors did not initiate any recall this year.

General Motors hints at winding down its India operations

General Motors India exported a record number of Chevrolet Beat vehicles in September, with 7,661 units shipped to export markets in Central and South America.

GM’s Halol plant to work till March 2017
General Motors India, which was planning to close down its Halol facility near Vadodara in Gujarat about a year ago, has informed that it would extend production at the site till March 2017. The company also added that it continues to review future options for the site, which would now produce the uprgraded Tavera. Currently the plant produces 120-130 cars per day.
