General Motors hints at winding down its India operations
The beleaguered General Motors India may stop domestic sales from next month and may run the plant only to cater to export markets. According to sources , General Motors India may make a formal announcement of cessation of domestic in May.

General Motors India exported a record number of Chevrolet Beat vehicles in September, with 7,661 units shipped to export markets in Central and South America.
GM’s Halol plant to work till March 2017
General Motors India, which was planning to close down its Halol facility near Vadodara in Gujarat about a year ago, has informed that it would extend production at the site till March 2017. The company also added that it continues to review future options for the site, which would now produce the uprgraded Tavera. Currently the plant produces 120-130 cars per day.
