This technology can be upgraded and used for BS6 engines as well.
Ashok Leyland, flagship of the Hinduja Group, announced the beginning of construction of its bus plant in Andhra Pradesh. The ground breaking ceremony marked the beginning of work on a Greenfield factory which will be the first Ashok Leyland plant in Andhra Pradesh. Situated in Model Industrial Park, Mallavalli Village in Krishna District, the auspicious ceremony was performed in the presence of the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Nara Chandrababu Naidu and Managing Director & CEO of Ashok Leyland, Vinod K Dasari.
Ashok Leyland Ltd and Hino Motors Ltd Japan (henceforth referred to as Hino) have entered into a mutual co-operation agreement (MCA) where Ashok Leyland will utilise Hino’s engine technology for Ashok Leyland’s EURO-VI development and will support in development of Hino’s engine parts purchasing in India for global operation.
Ashok Leyland, flagship of the Hinduja Group, confirmed that it bagged an order from KSRTC for 3019 buses. This order, one of the largest from a State Transport Undertaking for a single OEM, would be executed in the current financial year which would help Ashok Leyland in furthering its leadership position in buses.
The Indian auto industry has not sought any deferment or delay in the implementation of BS IV emission norm. In an official statement issued, Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) President Vinod Dasari said "contrary to the misinformation being perpetuated by certain sections of the society etc.
