TVS Motor Company has launched a new stylish TVS StaR City+ in Maharashtra. It is priced at Rs 44,000 (ex-showroom) for the top end electric start version and Rs 42,800 (ex-showroom) for the base model. The design for TVS StaR City+ has been inspired from TVS StarR brand. This new model has an elegant look with honeycomb textured side panel grills, a stylish crown visor and trendy rear view mirrors. The stainless steel body complements the bike’s silver shock absorbers and its sporty aluminum grab rail. Black alloy wheels, premium three dimension emblems and stylish flashy tail lamp adds a new look to the motorcycle.
The engine is derived from ‘Ecothrust’ engine of TVS Phoenix. This motorcycle offers a comfortable ride with 109.7cc power mill. The new Ecothrust engine provides four stroke performance, releasing 8.4 PS power at 7,000 rpm with a torque of 8.7 Nm at 5,000 rpm. This engine has a four speed gear box with electric start in any gear. With the speed of 90 kmph, the motorcycle runs from 0 to 60 km in just 7.6 seconds.
The fuel efficiency claimed by TVS Motor is 86 kmpl. It has a combination of smooth performance, better pickup and acceleration, and high durability. The model houses a digital dashboard with analogue speedometer and an advanced digital information display. It also provides with a service indicator to inform on servicing period and an ecometer to maximize fuel economy. The digital fuel gauge will help to indicate on fuel level, and the odometer will convey the kilometers covered.
The telescopic front shock absorbers, five step adjustable rear shock absorbers, and the padded dual tone seat; deliver a comfortable ride. The tyres have high grip and are button type to reduce the risk of skidding.
