Ampere Vehicles, the e-mobility wing of Greaves Cotton
Limited, announced a price cut on electric scooters up to Rs 9000. It is based
on the recent FAME II subsidy revision policy by the Government. The price
reduction is expected to make Ampere electric scooters more affordable to
consumers across India.
Roy Kurian, COO, E-Mobility Business (2 & 3-Wheeler),
Ampere Electric, said that, with significant subsidy revision in FAME II
policy, the scheme has made EV affordable to more customers. He added that it
will strengthen Ampere’s customer base. While Zeal model will now cost
(Ex-showroom, Bangalore) Rs 59,990 (down from Rs 68,900 earlier), Magnus Pro
model can now be brought at Rs 65,990 (down from Rs 74,990 earlier).
Ampere is one of the fast-growing EV brands in the country and
has been focusing on clean mobility solutions and bringing affordable and
sustainable electric scooters for last mile connectivity and reduction in carbon
footprint. The company has over twelve years of experience in EV technology,
designing and manufacturing electric vehicles. Ampere is a Greaves Cotton group
company since 2018 and is leading Greaves’ last mile E-Mobility foray.
